Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
I am one guy with a website. I am not an advertising company, I do not sell data, and I have no interest in building a profile of you. That said, running a site collects things whether you want it to or not, so here is the honest accounting.
What I actually collect
If you fill out the contact form. Whatever you type into it. Usually a name, an email address, and a message. That is stored in the site database and emailed to me. I keep it as long as the conversation is useful and I delete it when it is not.
If you donate. Nothing. I never see your card number, your bank details, or your billing address. That transaction happens entirely on PayPal’s systems. What I get back is a notification that money arrived, a first name, and whatever you typed in the notes field. PayPal has its own privacy policy and it governs that side of the transaction, not me.
If you just read. Standard web traffic data through Google Analytics: pages visited, roughly where in the world you are, what browser and device you used, how you got here. It is aggregated. I use it to figure out which posts are worth writing more of. Your server logs also record your IP address, because that is how the internet works.
If you click an affiliate link. The company on the other end drops a cookie so they know I sent you. I do not receive your name, your email, or your purchase details. I receive a number telling me a referral happened.
What I do not do
- I do not sell your information. Not to anyone, not for any price.
- I do not run an ad network on this site.
- I do not add you to a mailing list because you filled out the contact form. If a newsletter ever exists, you will have to actively ask for it.
- I do not attempt to identify individual readers from analytics data.
Cookies
This site sets cookies. Some are functional and come from WordPress itself. Some come from Google Analytics. Some come from affiliate partners when you click through to them.
You can block all of them in your browser settings. Some things may behave oddly if you do. That is a trade you are allowed to make and I am not going to nag you about it.
Third parties who touch this site
- Kinsta, which hosts the site and therefore stores everything on it.
- Google, for analytics and search console data.
- PayPal, for payments.
- Kinsta, Tello, and Ezee Fiber, as affiliate and referral partners, only when you click through to them.
Each has their own privacy policy. I have read them so you do not have to, but you are welcome to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or tell me to stop processing it.
Use the contact form and say so plainly. You do not need to cite a regulation or use scary language. Just ask. I will do it, and I will do it faster than a company with a compliance department would.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. Some of the story content is family friendly. That does not make the site a children’s service.
Changes
If this policy changes I will update the date at the top. I am not going to email you about it, because I do not have your email unless you gave it to me for something else.
Contact
Use the contact form on the home page. That is the only channel, and it reaches me directly.
